When we sleep the weight of our head resting against the pillow will create compression points on our face and other parts of our body. Pressure and friction causes the skin to fold, leading to the development of lines and wrinkles. Repeat compression over time may make these lines deeper and more prominent.

COMFORT vs. SLEEP WRINKLES

Sleeping on our back is generally considered the best position to prevent sleep wrinkles. However, there are many styles of sleeping, and our preferred position is usually the one that feels the most comfortable to us. When we're comfortable we're more likely to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep throughout the night.
